Recently I met up with some friends in Georgetown for a quick lunch meeting.  While I was fine with walking down Wisconsin Avenue or M street for a slightly formal meal, hunger pangs led my friends to make a pit stop at something more convenient.  And it appeared that Marvelous Market fit the bill.  Not realizing this place is a franchise (and that I’ve more than likely have passed it during my lunch breaks in Ballston), I thought Marvelous Market was a gem.

Depending on the location (10 total), patrons can pick up hot sandwiches, salads, sushi rolls along with a wide array of beverages (bottled and self service).  Marvelous Market also offers same day catering.  I ended up with a 7 piece vegetable dumpling set that was plated with cherry tomatoes and greens.  Can’t say it was remarkable.  However, I left thinking about all the tea’s and hot chocolate sets I should’ve bought instead.
