Shadow Room

shadowShadow Room has quite a following around Washington D.C. and it brings an interesting crowd.  Shadow Room is located in between George Washington University and the K street party area.  This brings in a pretty mixed crowd and not the mixed crowd everyone in D.C. says they have.  Shadow Room actually provides a decently mixed crowd.

Shadow Room is similar to Josephine DC in that its not always easy to get in. So you should plan on getting there early, putting yourself on the list, or getting a bottle. Shadow Room has some pretty original ideas with their service.  They have a few different service enhancements like valet for table service, mobile ordering and reservations, and many more.  I have had good experiences with their doormen who are fairly nice and not as cocky as other ones I have ran into. I think the general customer service here provides a nice change from most night clubs.

Shadow Room adds another elite club to the main ones like Lima, Midtown, Spot, Josephine’s, Park, and Current. The decor is quite fancy and has a great feel.  It can get kind of dark in there, but the bar is light up which provides a nice haven to hang out. The last time I was there and got a table in the back and it was pretty enjoyable the cocktail waitress was on the ball.  It was also cool that when you bottle came out it hand sparklers in it (apparently this is becoming the big rage and I like it).  The decor fits the club and the party has been good every time I have been there.

The Music at Shadow room has always been entertaining.  Its usually a mix between house and hip hop which I enjoy. The sound is good and it resonates well throughout Shadow Room.

Shadow Room and other elite clubs are bringing DC up to par with the rest of the major cities of America.  It seems that D.C. my be catching up.
