Puro Cafe
Cafe Puro a new gem in Georgetown. I have never been to a place this before, its modern, fashionable, and enjoyable. It provides something different then the rest of the DC scene which is a place to hangout that doesn’t have alcohol. It reminds me of a more fashionable Tryst. Don’t get me wrong Tryst is amazing but, Puro provides a different take on a modern Coffee house its highly fashionable with its all white inside and fashion shows being played on the TVs. I was going to eat at Cafe Bonaparte but got their about thirty minutes early so we decide to check out Puro Cafe. You walk in to faint progressive music and a whole slew of different flavored Macaroons.
Since I have a Macaroon addiction I had to try some. So I decided to get three Macaroons and a coffee. I got the vanilla, lavender, and banana. The vanilla was my favorite macaroon and is my favorite ice cream so the correlation makes sense. The banana was my second favorite as it tasted great it was really great it had a light banana taste. The lavender was OK it was not really that special as it tasted a bit like a flower. The coffee was pretty darn good it was black with a nice flavor. Overall the reason I liked this place so much was the fact that I think it is a great idea and I will definitely be hanging out there in the future.

The place is not as clean as it should be kept. Out of 10, i would give this place a 6.
DC is about ten years late with the Philippe Starck Miami transplants, but perhaps better later than never.
