I have recently become infatuated with the Vietnamese noodle soup called pho. I was talking with Van about what he thought was the best pho place in the DMV and he mentioned Pho Sate. I have always enjoyed Pho 75 since it is right next to my house, but Van was adamant that Pho Sate was much better. I had a recent craving for pho, so I decided to check out Pho Sate to see if it lived up to Van’s hype.
Pho Sate is located in a small shopping center right of of Graham Rd in Falls Church. It is surrounded by a few other restaurant and shops, but Pho Sate is the star of the show. When you walk into Pho Sate you realize it a small family run shop, which makes it all that much better in my opinion. We sat down and were greated by our waiter very quickly. All of the food came out quickly and piping hot.We ordered some tasty chicken rolls for our appetizer which were crunchy and fantastic. For my entree I immediately decided on the P1 (Tai ,Chin, Nam, Gan, Sach) which includes eye round steak, brisket, flank, soft tendon and bible tripe. Pho is all about the broth and this is some of the best pho broth I have ever had. It was basically perfect I ate almost half the bowl without any seasoning, which is quite abnormal for me. My girlfriend got the H2 (Hu Tieu Kho Tom Thit Heo) which includes rice noodle soup topped with shrimp, pork, chicken meatball, shrimp pancake, and soup on the side. This was just as good the broth was on point and her crunchy and tasty shrimp pancake was fantastic.
I will have to say that Van was right, Pho Sate is one of the best pho places in the area. Their tasty broth and quick service makes a great place to enjoy fantastic noodle soup.
