Looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine in DC? Check out New Big Wong in Chinatown. I think they went under renovation/remodel last year, hence the “new.” I got the beef noodle soup (niu rou). The broth was clean and dark, got plenty of good cuts of beef and the egg noodles were of your normal variety of egg noodles.

This place is also open late night if your looking to get a fix after a night out on the town.
