I went to Me Jana for lunch recently and I was pleasantly surprised. I have been meaning to go for a while now and I finally got the chance. A buddy of mine and I went there after an Ultimate game so were quite hungry. We trotted in around 1:30PM on Saturday and the place was fairly quiet. We were greeted at the door immediately and were seated just as quick. Me Jana is very nice inside the decorations and bathrooms are on par with restaurants that charge twice as much in the city.
Me Jana’s lunch menu was pretty encompassing, they have a large selection of appetizers and entrees. For our appetizers we got the hummus and the spinach pie. The hummus was some of the best I have ever had, it was smooth, creamy, and full of garlic infused goodness. The bread it came with was light and fluffy, it made the perfect assistant to the hummus. I had a piece of the spinach pie as well, but the hummus overshadowed it in my book. For my entree I got the Chicken Shwarma with fries which was fantastic. When I first got I thought it was going to be bland, but once I took that first bite I knew I was wrong. Some how Me Jana managed to pack all the tasty flavor and ingredients into a neat wrap. I have never had a wrap that tasted this good not fall apart in my hands. The shoe string french fries were also good, they were crunchy and not greasy, which is how I like them. The service from beggining to end was pretty good, no real hiccups or highlights.
Overall Me Jana really surprised me, I am actually a little upset I didn’t try it earlier. I would recommend checking this place out if you enjoy Lebanese food.
