Lotus DC
Lotus Lounge DC is a great place to go to chill and eat dinner or party all night. I have been here on numerous occasions and every time I go back I am still amazed by the decor. Michael Romeo Group has done it again. Lotus lounge provides quite and amazing environment the place is just down right beautiful.
The decor of lotus starts out with 16 foot waterfall that goes under their transparent stairway. The lighting in this place is pretty amazing as with all of Michael Romeo’s clubs. I think Lotus is better than Midtown and Tattoo Bar in this department. The Lotus lights 
add a really cool feel to this place as it in the name and they just look awesome as you can see. The coolest light expereince in this place is the led wall in the main room. It is constantly flashing beautiful colors and providing an amazing display you can’t help but stare at. The tables at Lotus are pretty comfortable and large. They allow for a nice amount of space for those who want to get a table. The prices are normal for the K street area expensive.
The music is always good at lotus it seems that the management here has managed to keep great DJ constantly. It normally a mix of all genres but more heavy on the house and techno. I love the DJ booth as you can see him from almost anywhere in the club and its got some cool lighting in there. I have eaten once and the food is pretty good. 
It is a little overpriced but it tastes pretty good and is not overly pricey. The food really just consists of salad, sushi, and desserts which is all they really need.
The funny thing about Lotus is that is directly across the street from Tattoo Bar. They are however two different types of clubs and offer different crowds. Overall Lotus provides an upscale venue which is a lot of fun . The music is great all the time and the lighting is really memorizing. I would say this is a place that is on par with New York and LA in the club scene and it seems like the Michael Romeo group will continue to do big things in D.C.
