Fireworks Pizza opened about 6 months ago so I decided to go by there with my girlfriend recently. It was still pretty cold outside, but Fireworks was jam packed. There was about 20 minute wait so we decided to get a few drinks at their bar. Fireworks a serious selection of beer and wine and it ended up taking us both a little while to choose what we wanted. They have a lot of original choices that you would not find in most places. We ended up having a drink or a two before we were seated and when were seated we sat outside next to their beautiful outdoor fireplace.
We were sat down and waited about 5 minutes before seeing our waiter, which was not to bad, but a little slower than average. When we met our waiter he was nice and talked about the specials that Fireworks had. For our appetizer we decided to get the risotto fritters which included smokey blue cheese, bacon, and harissa. When you mix those ingredients it pretty much has to be good and well it didn’t disappoint. It had a nice crunchy outside, but when you pierced the crunchy skin it exploded with a cheesy bacon goodness that I can’t wait to go back for. For her entrée my girlfriend got a ”three g’s grilled cheese sandwich” and smoked gouda tomato soup. The grilled cheese and the soup were both on point, the grilled cheese had just the right amount of cheesiness and the soup was rich and flavorful. As my entrée I got the Guadalajara pizza which has ground beef, cheddar cheese, tomato sauce, pico de gallo, jalapeños, lettuce, and sour cream. The pizza was great it had a lot of flavor and crunchiness that tasted just right. I destroyed the pizza pretty quickly and I enjoyed every single bite. Overall the food was great and the atmosphere was just as awesome.
Overall I think Fireworks has something going for it, it is a fun place with good food that provides a pleasant atmosphere.I will definitely be back and it seems like it will be one of the more popular places in Arlington.
