Eagles 27, Redskins 17
I think most of America saw this loss coming… we’ve hit Oakland Raider status!! The Skins opened the season with 6 straight winless teams, and only managed to win 2 games. Tack on a loss at home to Philly, and we’re sitting at 2-5 and at the bottom of the league in wins and credibility. Things in DC are so dysfunctional right now, even the fans have been banned from bringing signs into the stadium. I watched the game at Public Bar and that was the highlight of the evening — not Desean Jackson’s 67 yd reverse or 57 yd reception, both of which burned us for touchdowns. On the bright side, the Skins moved the ball better than the Eagles, however 4 turnovers killed any chance we had at winning this game.
Sherman Lewis’ first game as play caller had no statistical improvement over Zorn calling plays. Chris Cooley broke his ankle and is lost for the season. Chris Samuels and Randy Thomas are out as well. Fans are banned from showing signs. And the team has yet to crack 17 points on the season. Knowing Dan Snyder, change is gonna come.
On a side note; Virginia Tech alum Michael Vick saw limited action, completing 1 pass for 5 yds and ran 3 times for 9 yards.
