I wanted to try this place so bad when I first heard about it. I am a sucker for amazing views. Domaso did not disappoint their was an amazing view of Georgetown. You can see the Kennedy center if you get closer to edge. I sat outside and the tables are set back so you don’t feel the full view. I found my self staring off into the sky and checking out the views the whole time I was at Domaso Trattoria.
We got seated pretty quickly and the hostess was very friendly. At Domaso the drinks were pretty nice as it was still around happy hour which lasts from 4 to 9. The beers were 4 dollars and the mixed drinks started at 7. My drinks arrived promptly and we were told about the specials of Domaso Trattoria and a little bit of the history.
The specials sounded good but I was set on the chicken. I ordered my salad first which was the…
baby greens with beets, goat cheese dressing and spicy pecans it was 8 dollars.
It was pretty good and tasted really fresh. It was a great mix of different flavors. I like this combination of beets and goat cheese which I am seeing more and more.
For my entree I had the chicken which was….
roasted herb grilled chicken breast with piquillo pepper, zucchini, and pine nut salad, prosciutto-sage demi glace that was 17 dollars.
The chicken at Domaso was cooked very well and was very juicy. The combination of the peppers and other fresh vegetables helped bring out the flavor in the chicken. For the price the chicken was pretty good.
Domaso had a lot of good qualities they had the view, the service, and good food. The view is probably the best you can get without being on a D.C. rooftop. The service was very good the waiter and the hostess treated me well. Overall the food was ok. Domaso’s menu does not have that great of a selection and the food was not really something I had not seen before. I think with time their menu will grow and this restaurant will be much better. Domaso has only been open for two months.
