I went to Cafe Citron recently and had a pretty good time. I had never been there before and was surprised at how much fun it was. There are four levels of Cafe Citron and two different ways to get to them. When I first got there I went into the main door and chilled on the first level. They were playing a mix of house and Spanish music which was pretty interesting. When you go up to the second overlooking floor it is the same music as the first, but with a much more intimate space. It is sort of cozy up there. I then went to check out the basement which is dark, but full of people dancing salsa. If you are big into dancing it looks like a lot of fun. I was more focused on drinking so I decided to check out the other area which is sort of like a 4th floor. You can enter through the outside and go straight up to the top. This was my favorite area of the place. It had much more light and a high vaulted ceiling there were also multiple skylights that made you feel like you were in the city. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were not overly priced. A vodka and tonic ran you about 8 dollars which is pretty normal for the city. The top floor also had a much better ratio of guys to girls. It was about even which is hard to find these days.
Overall I would say that I will definitely be going back and checking out the top floor. I will probably not go to main floor unless I decide to pick up Salsa dancing in the near future.
