Bon Chon Chicken
Bon Chon Chicken is a Korean restaurant chain that’s primarily in South Korea and New York City, but one has been opened up in Annandale, VA a.k.a Koreatown. It’s a typical Korean restaurant for the most part, but it specializes in Fried Chicken. Theway they do it, is like no other place. They deep fry it twice, once to start the cooking process, than they coat it in one of two sauces, a soy-garlic and a spicy, than they deep fry it again. This entire process takes at LEAST 40 minutes because they do it all made to order. So I suggest getting another entree or appetizer to hold you over until your chicken is done. You can always call ahead and place your order in, so by the time you get there it’s done.
The biggest down fall to Bon Chon isn’t the fact that you’re paying $20 for some fried chicken that your have to wait 40 minutes for, it’s the bad service that you unfortunately can’t avoid. And I’m pretty sure they know they can give you bad service because they’re the only place around that’s like them, so you’re forced to put up with it or just not par take in the deliciousness that is Bon Chon. And when it comes down to it, we all kind of expect bad service while anywhere in Koreatown, so you might as well put up with it and enjoy your chicken.
