Black & Orange

A recent late night partying at Current in Dupont led some friends and I over to Black and Orange. I hadn’t ever heard about it, but from the window it looked pretty appetizing.  There was quite few people in the joint especially since it was around 3am.  Black & Orange seems to be one of the least talked about burger place in Washington, but even without the hype it ranks as one of the best.  It used to be called Rogue State, but went through a name change a couple months ago.

Upon walking into Black & Orange you will notice that this place is pretty nice inside.  Their menu consists of some really interesting burgers that are great.  I myself tried the square one, in retrospect I should have been a bit more adventurous, but at the time I wanted simple and tasty.  I also got some sweet potato fries, because man I love those things.  When I got my burger I was amazed at how juicy the meat looked and how fresh the vegetables were. The first bite was heaven, a soft chewy bun, juicy meat, and lots of freshness.  The sweet potato fries were just as good, crunchy out the outside and  a soft chewy inside.  They were some of the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. Overall with all the burger options they have this place is a must visit for burger fans.  They have some pretty interesting burgers like the Rogue, Now and Zen, and many more.

If you love burgers like me, you should definitely check out Black and Orange.  They make some of the best burgers in Washington.
