I have walked past Bangkok Joe’s many times over the past few years, but I have never gone in. This past Friday a friend took me there to celebrate my birthday and I was impressed. Bangkok Joe’s sits right in front of the waterfront if your walking down from M street. The outdoor seating is out in the front and looks really nice, but it was just a little to hot on Friday. My buddy and I went inside and I was surprised by the modern contemporary decor. They have a dumpling bar as well as some cool two seat booths which is where we sat.
For our appetizer we tried the tuna Satay. It was really good it had a great tuna flavor as well as a wonderful sauce taste. The app also came with a fruit mix which was excellent. For my entree I ended up getting the Chicken Thai Basil which was fantastic. It had lots of flavor and was a huge portion. Normally I can finish almost anything put in front of me, but I could barely eat half of this entree. I drank a Singha Beer along with my entree which is the best beer to match the heat (I always get it Thai Spicy). The service and Bangkok Joe’s was very good. We got our food and drinks very quickly and the place was busy.
Overall I really enjoyed Bangkok Joe’s and will be going back to check out their dumpling bar.
