When I first went to A&J’s for lunch last year, it was my first time so I picked the item which sounded most appealing to me. It was steamed spare ribs with spiced rice powder — WARNING — stay away from this dish! Everything else I’ve had on the menu in my subsequent two trips has been almost out-of-this-world sorta good for the selection of Chinese restaurants we have in the DMV. This place is reasonably priced, accepts cash only, makes a good bubble tea, and specializes in Northern Chinese cuisine. Pictured is fried chicken with thin noodles, and some pot stickers above. I need to get there on a weekend to try their dim sum.
