18th St Lounge

For the past 15+ years, Eighteenths St Lounge has been a staple of the DC nightlife. It is owned and started by the famous Thievery Corporation a local DC DJ duo that is famous worldwide. Farid Nouri and Eric Hilton started 18th St Lounge because they wanted to play the music they wanted to play. Eighteenth St Lounge is located at the intersection of 18th and Connecticut, right under the Mattress Discounter sign.

Eighteenth St Lounge is one of the most consistent places in the city, it is almost always a good time. It was hard for me to put my finger on why this place is a good time, but really its a combination of things. The first is the atmosphere, 18th St lounge is decorated with a vintage look that is quite different from most places in the city. It is three floors of fun with a wonderful outdoor patio thats great in the summer time. The second is reasonable prices, 18th St Lounge prices are below average for the Dupont Circle area. The third and most important is the music, 18th St Lounge is always playing great music. Whether it is reggae, world renowned DJ’s, or tango music you can always guarantee it will be audibly pleasing.

Eighteenth St Lounge brought and continues to a bring a unique venue and experience to Washington D.C. It is chill and a great place to have a good time. I have included the happy hour and dress code details, happy drinking!
